Next steps for applicants who wish to remain on the waitlist for future consideration should space become availableĪs you may know, the number of enrollment confirmations they receive between now and the May 1st confirmation deadline will determine whether there is any space available in the freshman class.īecause waitlisted applicants have many other college choices that they are considering, the U of M message to students that they should pursue their other options for college. Students remaining on the waitlist on April 12th will be notified via email that, at this time, we are not able to offer them admission. Waitlisted students will have the option to let U of M know whether or not they wish to remain on the waitlist and again be considered for admission should space become available.ī. Please note that students receiving a deny decision also receive information about transfer planning in case they wish to consider transferring to the University at a future time. Also, based on the additional review of student applications, they have sent final deny decisions to ensure that students have information regarding their deny decisions and can make alternative plans for fall enrollment. As space has become available, they have admitted a number of additional students whose original decision was waitlist.
